Popular Nigerian activist, VeryDarkMan, better known as VD,M blocks Dangote trucks from using the roads until the company takes full responsibility by compensating students whose lives have been ruined by its vehicles and supporting families who have lost children or parents in such accidents.
In the video he shared on his official Instagram page, VeryDarkMan was spotted with students of Auchi Polytechnic engaging in a peaceful protest.
Recall that activist VeryDarkMan had earlier called out Dangote after his truck crushed the leg of Phyna’s sister, Ruth Otabor, just six days after she graduated from Auchi Polytechnic.
The injury was severe, leading to the amputation of one of her legs. There are fears that the other leg may also be affected.
The truck’s driver initially attempted to flee but was apprehended by a lecturer who witnessed the incident. The license plate was reportedly removed afterward, and the vehicle is currently in police custody.
In response, Dangote Cement issued a statement—via its official X account—confirming the incident. The company pledged full medical support and compensation, aligned. with its welfare policy, and expressed wishes for Ruth’s recovery.
In a new video, VeryDarkMan highlighted the case of a 22-year-old female student whose life has been shattered after being involved in an accident with a Dangote truck, leaving her unable to walk again.
