UNIZIK Primary School Pupil Buried In Ekwulobia After Being Swept Away By Anambra Flood

The remains of Success Ezenwafor, the UNIZIK Primary School pupil who was swept away by floodwaters along Nibo Ring Road in Anambra State, have reportedly been laid to rest in his hometown, Ekwulobia.

His burial comes after his body was recovered following a search operation for the missing Boy.

Success was buried on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, in Ekwulobia, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, according to an update shared on social media.

The young boy had been travelling in a school shuttle bus along the Nibo–Isiagu Ring Road in Awka South Local Government Area when the vehicle became trapped in floodwaters during heavy rainfall.

Nine other occupants, including seven schoolchildren and two adults, were rescued, while Success remained missing. His body was later recovered during a search operation.

The tragedy has continued to generate emotional reactions online, with Nigerians mourning the young pupil and expressing sympathy for his family.
