Read his post below as shared on LinkedIn:
Google is a place where I thought coming in, I would have to have it all together but learned quickly that there was so much to learn and opportunity for growth.
Google is a place where I see and have been blessed to be around true champions, leaders and peers who show up authentically after originally believing this sense of culture wouldn’t exist due to the lessons taught prior on “professionalism”.
Google is a place that seemed nearly impossible to have an opportunity as a kid from Milwaukee yet being told that I am one of the “best candidates for the role”.
I can go on and on but in summary, this past year I UNLEARNED A LOT TO GROW IMMENSELY.
Today I celebrate ONE YEAR at Google and could not have asked for a better place to start my career.
Special shout-out to my manager Tony Francis for leading an exceptional program and for being an even greater leader. To my ETA cohort, thanks for becoming the family that I didn’t know I needed in this transition as we rise together. And to the various mentors, friends, and what I see as my village with the blessing of calling them coworkers, I am grateful. I cannot wait to see the goals we will continue to crush at the place that thinks about the next billion users with equity at the forefront.
