A medical doctor identified as Usama Riaz is one of the latest health personnel to pay the price of assisting those with coronavirus across the world.

The doctor, who sacrificed his time and energy battling to rescue people out of the pandemic that is causing shivers across the world, was said to be 26 at the time of his death.

His death was announced by a Twitter user, @SJPeace, who shared the story of how Riaz caught the virus in the line of duty.

“This is Dr Usama Riaz. He spent past weeks screening and treating patients with coronavirus in Pakistan. He knew there was no PPE. He persisted anyways.

“Today he lost his own battle with coronavirus but he gave life and hope to so many more. Know his name,” the Twitter user said.

Another tweep, @AhmedAlwayz, added that Dr Riaz was only 26 when he died of the virus.

His post read: “He was just 26 years old, a Medical Doctor by profession, Dr. Usama Riaz was a courageous citizen of Pakistan. He knew the danger he was getting into but till his last breath, he tried his best. May he RIP.”

Social media users were heartbroken over the news of Dr Riaz’s death and they sent their condolences online.

Pam Fraim, who goes by the Twitter handle @PForsterFraim, commented: “He is indeed a hero!”
