Obong Idiong the newly appointed CEO at Heirs Technologies was once an executive assistant to businessman Tony Elumelu. The businessman shared a photo with obong on his Instagram page and briefly captioned it:

Heirs Technologies, a digital company, has announced the appointment of Obong Idiong as its chief executive officer (CEO).

In a statement on Thursday, the firm said Idiong brings considerable experience in the technology sector and a visionary approach to his new role.

Idiong, according to the statement, was the managing director and CEO of Africa Prudential Plc, where he spearheaded the digital transformation of its registrar services and repositioned the company as an agile and technology-driven organisation before his current appointment.

Heir Technologies said he has held a series of senior management roles, including at the United Bank for Africa Plc and Heirs Holdings Limited.

Speaking on his appointment, Idiong reiterated the firm’s commitment to closing the gap in the technology ecosystem by providing localised value to a worldwide audience.
