The Fifth Wife Of The Ooni, A Prominent Fashion EntrepreneurQueen Aderonke Beams With Joy As Daughter Weds In London

Princess Toya, the daughter of Olori Aderonke, one of the wives of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has tied the knot with her heartthrob, Prince Makanju, in an elegant ceremony in London.

Toya exchanged vows with Makanju in a court wedding, followed by a reception attended by family members, friends and close associates.

Videos circulating online captured joyful moments from the celebration, with the bride looking radiant in a stylish beige ensemble as she and the groom descended flower-decorated steps amid confetti and cheers from guests.

Olori Aderonke, the fifth wife of the Ooni and a prominent fashion entrepreneur, was also a notable presence at the celebration. She was seen beaming with smiles, posing with family and friends and joining in the festivities.

Aderonke is the founder and CEO of Africa Fashion Week London and Africa Fashion Week Nigeria. She is also a cultural ambassador and the great-granddaughter of the 48th Ooni of Ife, Oba Ajagun Ademiluyi.

Clips from the wedding also showed glamorous arrivals, with guests dressed in striking outfits stepping out of luxury vehicles. Traditional elements were also incorporated into the celebration, including a staff-bearing attendant dressed in white.

The ceremony blended elements of Nigerian royal heritage with the modern setting of London, creating a colourful celebration for the couple and their guests.

Princess Toya’s wedding adds another chapter to the expanding family of the Ooni of Ife, who has welcomed several children with his queens.

Olori Aderonke, a UK-trained lawyer and advocate for African fashion and culture, has in recent years balanced her royal responsibilities with her entrepreneurial pursuits.
