Tacha Opens Up On Why Being Only A Celebrity And Influencer It’s Not Enough For Her Anymore
Nigerian media personality and on-air personality, Tacha, is opening up in a new interview about why being only a celebrity and influencer isn’t enough for her anymore, and why she’s now making the decision to transition into other things.
Here’s why Tacha said she’s doing this, and some truths she revealed about money and the people making it in the industry. Here’s what Tacha said.
During an interview, Tacha was asked “If Tacha was not influencing, what would that be like? What would Tacha be doing?” to which she replied:
TACHA: Tacha would be doing what Tacha was doing before now, and that is what I’m even transitioning into, getting back into full-time. I used to be a full-time beautician so I would do make-up, right now, I do my make-up by myself. So I would do make-up, I would do hair, I would do wigs.
People see celebrities and it’s just so funny because the celebrities don’t even make as much cash as the people that render the service. The makeup artists and stuff make more than the actual public figures. Yeah. Absolutely.
Because imagine you’re charging N200k for home service makeup and you have over 10 clients for a whole week, do you get what I mean? And I’m getting paid 2k dollars to make a video. How many videos do I get paid for to make in a month?
It’s difficult to get 10 sponsored videos to do in a week. It’s possible but there’s a lot of brand influencers out there, it’s not just you. There’s always options. There’s A LOT of competition. Especially with people getting out of school, and still don’t have a job, and people just thinking “what’s that plan b I can do that can give me immediate cash? TikTok. What’s that plan b? Social media.” I kicked off from social media. Everyone has this sub-consciousness of social media is big, and it’s not getting smaller.
