Tshilidzi Nenzhelele: Success story of man who obtained PhD while living in mud house
- A man named Tshilidzi Nenzhelele has shared the success story of how he got his PhD on Facebook
-
Tschilidzi weathered all odds to show that when one’s mind is set on something great, nothing is impossible
-
The achiever signed off his story by saying that anybody can make it as long as you are fed up with being low.
A man has taken to social media to show just how full of possibilities life is to those who work hard.
Tshilidzi Nenzhelele started off living in a mud hut but did not let those circumstances stop him from obtaining his PhD. Nenzhelele shared his story on the Facebook #ImStaying group. He narrated how he used to live in a mud hut and ride on a donkey cart for transportation. Despite these circumstances, he studied further and managed to obtain his PhD.
“You can change as long as you are sick and tired of your current status. Almost every person who broke a world record was once sick and tired of seeing the same record,” he said.
He encouraged fellow South Africans to reach beyond the minimum in order to achieve a better future. “Focus, act, it’s possible.” Social media users were inspired by his rags-to-riches story. Facebook user Lynne Bamford Lotter said: “Beautiful words. Fantastic philosophy…” Hamieda Armien said: “Congrats…and thanks for inspiring words.” Vuyolwethu MakaKhazimla Sondisa Mpongwana said: “Congrats Dr, your post is so so inspiring, you have made my day, thanks for sharing.” Sabine Malan said: “I salute you. Continue spreading this message?” Sue Nordstrom said: “Congratulations! Keep going! So proud of you!” Mike Schultz said: “What a legend! Well done, you are the future of SA that we are all very proud of!”
