Actor Browny Ifeanyi Igboegwu has a message for people who depend only on human beings.

In his words:

“My life is a full testimony.

I have proven beyond reasonable doubt that you don’t need a godfather to succeed when you have God the Father.

In everything you do in this life, keep your hands clean, pray to God, work hard, stay consistent, and trust Him. You will be amazed at what God can do with your life.

Recently, I went through some very serious challenges, challenges that most people knew nothing about. Some people were even sending me DMs asking me for money, not knowing that the person they were asking was also looking for help.

I was disappointed by people I thought would stand by me. I was disappointed by people who made promises to me when I was at my lowest, only to fail me when I needed them most.

But guess what?

God sustained me.

That season taught me something I will never forget: I don’t need a godfather when I have God the Father.

So don’t put all your hope in people. Don’t build your life around the expectation that somebody will come and save you. Work with what you have. Do your part. Pray. Keep moving.

Even when you fall, get back up. Even when you think you have failed, dust yourself off and keep working.

Because God said, “I will bless the work of your hands.”

People can disappoint you—even people who tell you they love you. Someone can stand in front of you and say, “I love you, I am with you,” and still go behind you and work against you.

But God remains God.

In everything I have done in this life, I have never had a godfather who stood behind me and said, “Go ahead, I am behind you.”

It has been me, me, me and God.

And by the special grace of God, I have always found a way forward.

I am a success story.
I am a testimony.
I am living proof that God can sustain a person when human support fails.

And this is only the beginning.
