  • The APC also admonished citizens to preach religious freedom, neighborly compassion, and be committed to their civic obligations Senator Ishaku Abbo representing Adamawa North senatorial district has urged Nigerians, especially Christians, to show compassion, hope, and tolerance towards their fellow citizens as they celebrate Easter. In a statement sent to Legit.ng on Friday, April 2 through his media aide Michael V Bolgent, Abbo said that Easter is one of the most significant events in the Christian calendar, as it commemorates Jesus Christ’s sacrificial death and resurrection, and also serves as the foundation upon which Christian faith is built.

Despite ethnic and religious differences among Nigerians, the lawmaker encouraged citizens to tolerate one another.

Abbo also admonished Adamawa indigenes to preach religious freedom, neighborly compassion, and a dedication to civic obligations. Senator Abbo stated that Nigerians must learn to tolerate themselves.
