Real Estate Businessman Stephen Akintayo Shares Encounter With Bishop Oyedepo
Me and my Papa had a 30-minute one-on-one mentorship session early this Morning .
He had earlier advised that I diversify. The same principle of focus can be abused. After 18 years in business and 11 years of being focused on real estate development, it is time to diversify into other sectors that complement real estate and also release cash flow.
Real estate is long-term. It requires long-term liquidity and often takes a long time before returns begin to come in.
I took time to share the expansion plan with him. We are going into trading, e-commerce, green mobility, green energy, providing highly skilled graduate drivers, butlers, chefs and private security personnel to premium clients. We are also helping entrepreneurs source from credible manufacturers in China as we open our China office. I remember how @cosmasmadukaofficial was so excited about our decision to go into trading , he said to me ; “ no matter how rich my business is, I can never still Trading “.
Baba gave me 7 powerful counsels and prayed for me. I will only share one of those counsels:
“People need food. Your ability to focus on businesses that generate more employment will open more doors for you, my son. It gives people the opportunity to serve and earn. It is through those outlets that the blessing of God will keep flowing over you.”
He then made a very humbling promise, which was very surprising to me:
“I will be available to counsel you at every step of this expansion journey.”
Now you see why I am a dangerously blessed man.
I have 4 people I must seek counsel from before making any major decision, and once I get the go-ahead from 3 of them, I move:
My older brother @alaniolu, President Obasanjo, @cosmasmadukaofficial and Bishop David Oyedepo.
You may have everything planned out, but always get counsel and the blessing before you head out. It is always wisdom to do so.
I am so grateful for the privilege of not living my life and business as an orphan. The privilege of having solid fathers who are always there.
