“No Nigerian Deserves To Live In Fear” — Toyin Abraham Reacts To Oyo Killings, Calls For Stronger Security
Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham has reacted to the recent killings and abductions in Oyo State, describing the situation as painful and deeply troubling.
The actress said her personal and cultural ties to the state made the tragedy especially difficult, as innocent lives continue to be lost and families thrown into mourning.
She sympathised with families affected by the attacks in Oriire Local Government Area and other communities, lamenting the fear and trauma caused by rising insecurity.
“No Nigerian deserves to live in fear. No child should be afraid to go to school. No family should wake up to news of violence and bloodshed,” she stated.
Abraham also commended security agencies and the Oyo State Government for ongoing rescue efforts, while calling for stronger and more urgent measures to secure the release of victims still in captivity and improve community safety.
She urged Nigerians to remain united and supportive during difficult times, stressing that violence must not be normalised in the country.
