Joy as 50-year-old Nigerian woman enrolls herself in secondary school, strikes pose in school uniform

  • A 50-year-old woman has shown that age is nothing but a number and cannot stand in the way of any endeavour
  • The woman has begun secondary school education at a school in Kwara state
  • She was all smiles as she was captured with a pen in hand in the institution’s uniform

The popular saying that age is nothing but numbers has played out in the life of a Nigerian woman. This time it is regarding academic pursuit.

The woman who is aged 50 was spotted in a secondary school as she settled down for the lectures.

In a post on Otujoleblog, the woman whose name wasn’t given enrolled herself in junior secondary school level, class two at the Ilorin Grammar School, Ilorin.

In the shared image, she could be seen having an expression of one who is elated at achieving a feat on the institution’s full school wear of a pink gown with a matching beret.

Behind her, probably staring at the person who took the image, were school children much younger than she is. It also appeared that the school is a mixed one as boys could be seen seated behind her, likewise girls.

No information was given as to why she took the decision to enroll herself in school or if she had schooled in the past but one thing is clear – she wants to be educated and she wasn’t going to allow her age stand in her way.
