“LET ME GIVE YOU HOPE!
If you are reading this, do not give up, no matter how bad your situation is. Your sadness, disappointment, or failure today will turn to joy if you don’t give up.
Yesterday was the happiest day of my life as my youngest child and daughter graduated with an LLM Degree in Legal Practice. She joined her two brothers by having a Master’s Degree in Law. Let’s see who will bag the doctorate first😜
I came from a poor background, and sponsoring my education was a big challenge. Between starting primary school and getting a degree, I wasted fifteen years due to lack of money. I had to work hard to sponsor my education.
After my first degree, I tried getting a Master’s from Middlesex University in London. That was twenty-three years ago. I enrolled in a two-year part-time course. I would finish work at the law firm where I was working and travel to the university to study. I used to get home at 10 p.m. Hey!
I completed the first year successfully and started the second year. In the last semester of the second year, I was deregistered for not being able to pay the balance of my school fees, which was just £750. It was little, but I didn’t have it. I left in tears, but I made up my mind that I would be back.
Life was hard studying with three young children and a wife who was trying her best to support us.
My revenge was to put my three children through private schools and sponsor them through the university and the law schools with a little help. Today, the three of them have a Master’s Degree in Law and are in active legal practice. I could not do it, but they did it.
Listen, folks, you will go up if you don’t give up. Joy is coming. End!
