Nigerian Man & Family Becomes Canadian Citizen After Relocating There 4 Years Ago

A man named Tunde Olubunmi has shared an interesting experience after relocating his family to Canada 4 years ago. He said it was the best decision for the sake of his kids.

Tunde and his wife arrived Canada as permanent resident and had to start life all over again. But the good news is just
yesterday, they became Canadian citizens.

Sharing the mind blowing testimony with friends on LinkedIn he wrote:

O Canada!

A little over 4 years ago my wife and I arrived this beautiful country as permanent residents. I had to start all over again after about 8 years of working as an Intelligence Officer in Nigeria.

My wife was lucky the company she worked with in Nigeria was also in Calgary and they took her. Anyway, it was a tough decision for us (me, actually 😄) to make but we believed it was the best for the sake of our kids who were not yet born then.

Fastforward to yesterday, we became Canadian citizens and it felt miraculous taking the oath in English and French. It is great that Canada embraces immigrants from different countries and gives them the chance to become citizens in a fairly straightforward process. Oh by the way, the weather is uhmm.. let’s just say, special, here in Calgary.

I am not where I’d like to be yet in my career but I am definitely not where I used to be 4years ago and I am thankful for that. Cheers to growth, a brighter future and every good thing this great nation can offer even as I commit myself to its service.

O Canada! 🇨🇦 🇨🇦
