Nigerian athlete, Blessing Okagbare beats Usain Bolt to become a Guinness World Record holder

Nigerian athlete, Blessing Okagbare has been honoured by Guinness Book of World Records for beating Jamaican star athlete, Usain Bolt to become a Guinness World Record holder.

Blessing emerged the only athlete to have attended the Athletics Diamond Meetings 67 times, beating Usain Bolt, the previous record holder.

The Nigerian sprinter took to her official Instagram page to make the announcement on Wednesday, February 10, 2021.

According to her, it is a dream that turned into reality through God’s grace and determination.

She shared an image of the recognition award and captioned it;

“A dream made reality through God’s grace and determination. Look what finally came in the mail. Thanks to Guinness book of world records, I am indeed honored, proud and grateful.”
