My Relationship With Gerard On The Show Wasn’t A Strategy, BBNaija’s Kamsy

Uzoma ‘Kamsy’ Erica, the former BBNaija ‘Show Ya Sef’ housemate, says her relationship with fellow housemate Gerard while on the show was not a strategy.

When questioned about their situation during a recent interview with TheCable Lifestyle, Kamsy said she did not enter the show with a specific plan to pursue a romantic relationship or avoid one.

She also said being in a relationship has always been part of her life, so feeling a romantic connection in the house felt somewhat inevitable.

“I did not come into the show hoping to ship or hoping to not ship. My mind was open, but at the same time I felt like it was a little bit inevitable for me because all my life I have always been in some sort of relationship,” she said.

“Like I have an amazing personality, I mean who would not want this? So I already had a feeling that it was going to happen one way or the other, whether in the beginning, middle or ending. It was not a strategy; I already said I was going to take it as it comes.”

The 2026 season premiered on July 26 with 24 housemates. This year’s winner stands to claim a record-breaking grand prize of N160 million, the largest payout in the reality show’s history since its debut in 2006.
