Cynthia Onwuchuruba: Nigerian woman uses Igbo language to teach dropout kids mathematics

Cynthia Onwuchuruba is contributing greatly to humanity as she uses her special skill with language and mathematics to teach kids from low income families.

She employs the Igbo and pidgin languages to teach kids who dropped out from school due to lack of funds mathematics. Onwuchuruba is a first-class mathematics graduate of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University. She is the founder of PEEL initiative, a non-governmental organisation which seeks to educate dropouts.

According to her, she discovered teaching in English was a waste of time after she tried it and it failed. She said that is why she decided to begin teaching Mathematics in Igbo and Pidgin language.
