I’m a multifaceted entrepreneur, we’re into poultry value chain as but yet to attain that stance, but not limited to that alone; we’re into farm consultation and contract management, we have a network of farms we consult for and at the moment, we have i active partnership with a new farm on a large scale in addition to our small scale poultry. By the time we start operations in few months, we will become one of the biggest fast rising agribusiness in abia with the partnership.

Our products and services at Oliksfarms are : eggs, live broiler, live pigs with snail farming in incubation not leaving behind our consultancy services and general agro-allied contracts.

What inspired you to start up your business?

Agriculture has been my childhood passion ,now knowing better the opportunities untapped that laid hidden in agribusiness now spurs the passion. I partly sponsored my university education through broiler production, often times i don’t meet my demands, it’s always encouraging to do more what seems to be fruitful, that’s how it all started.

How were you able to raise fund to start up your business?

Raising money has been a very difficult one, that’s why we have run many years as small scale and do more of consulting, because agribusiness requires huge capital, we source average loans from family and friends and grew them over time, and recently we offered to share our idea with people who have interest in agribusiness as partnership, their money -our idea.

What major challenges have you encountered in your business?

We’ve had disease attacks few times, where we lost all our stock but we still bounced back, and also finance has always been a challenge, we don’t produce as we ought to but of our facility which is small and was on rent. It limits our production capacity.

What platform do use to advertise your business?

We use social media and place calls to potential customers as well as referrals and some physical contact strategic marketing.

Will you say it’s been financially rewarding?

It’s financially rewarding but with limited capital we often feel disappointed that we could have been better.

You’re the boss, how does it feel working for yourself?

As the boss, i get to work on my schedule, have my space as well as taking the risks involved .it gives me a sense of responsibility.

Where do you see your brand in 5 years?

Our envisioned milestone is to become one of the leading players in poultry and livestock industry in the south east with branded sales outlets and having our products in major stores across the country.
