MC Fish’s Partner, Gbemso Reveals That She Left Her Oil And Gas Job After Three Years As Her Growing Popularity Began To Make it Difficult For Her To Continue In The Industry

Gbemso, partner of Nigerian hype man MC Fish, has revealed that she left her oil and gas job after three years as her growing popularity began to make it difficult for her to continue in the industry.

Speaking during a live session with Daddy Freeze, Gbemso explained that she eventually left her job and began working alongside MC Fish, who is a hype man, as an event planner.

She said, “Because, like, Fish is a hype man, and my new popularity couldn’t make me continue my oil and gas job.”

Gbemso clarified that she did not lose the job but made the decision to leave, saying, “I left it.”

She explained that before leaving, she had risen through different roles at the company, moving from customer service to freight management before eventually becoming the personal assistant to the owner.

“From customer service I entered freight management. From freight management I became the PA of the owner of the company,” she said.

According to Gbemso, her growing online popularity and the attention surrounding her relationship with MC Fish eventually contributed to her decision to leave the oil and gas sector and focus on their event-related work.

“So I had to leave the job because you can’t have an online personality.”

“Before my 9-5, I was into event management and artist planning and since my baby is an MC, what I just did was content to old contacts and started building event around him and it has been working very good” she added.
