“Married At 23, Graduated At 24, Became A Leader At 25, Homeowner At 28” – Lady Who Started Life Early Shares Motivation
As shared by Hannah Awonuga.
‘I had my first son at 20
Married at 23
Graduated at 24
Become a leader at 25
Homeowner at 28
Let’s talk about chapters, seasons, a point in time!
Sometimes we think we have it all figured out. I had my first child at 20, married by 23, graduated by 24, first senior management role by 25, and was a homeowner at 28. My life hasn’t been as traditional as the rule book states, and statistics would not have predicted my career achievements, but I think that makes it even more rewarding and worthwhile.
I saw a post the other day that said, ‘Don’t let the internet rush you. In my day, we didn’t have the internet to rush us, but I suppose the message is, don’t be rushed to achieve the goals because society predicts you too.
Your route might not be the same as all your friends; you might go off course for some time, you might even decide to restart a new path. Whatever you decide, don’t try to have complete control of it; things happen along the way that may take you in a new direction.
I am definitely having a interesting year so far!
As they say (whoever they are 🤷🏾♀️) never measure your chapter one, with someone elses, Chapter ten!
In everything I do, I make sure I Pause, Reflect and Plan my own path at my own pace!!
So this is simply a message for anyone feeling stagnant or stifled by society at the moment ❤”
