Man Raises Support For His Coursemate After Seeing Him Working As A Water Vendor Despite Being A Graduate Of Engineering

My heart breaks into pieces after encountering the picture of my University coursemate circulating on social media as a water vendor despite being a graduate of Engineering from the prestigious University of Maiduguri a.k.a UNIMAID.

Despite myself battling to survive on the street of Abuja, I’m deeply touched with the situation of Mr. Kawu Malami currently scavenging on the street of Jalingo, capital city of Taraba as a water vendor to earn living.

If I had the wherewithal, I would have called and given an automatic Job to Mr. Kawu Malami who had suffered so much to study engineering and then ended up as a street water vendor.

For me knowingg Mr. Kawu Malami from Misau Bauchi state, a fellow Fulani man, and a university course mate he is a gentle, religious, calm, friendly, polite, and courteous man.

My worries, with current life of Kawu Malami, a University graduate, ended up a water vendor many undergraduates will feel discouraged going to school to obtain certificates.

Undergraduates lacking background like the kind of Kawu Malami will end up as scavengers on the street because jobs in this country are no longer for the poor, and not more best on merit but for who do you know or who do have it’s only given to the higher bidders.
