Lady Whose Application To Mandela Washington Fellowship Was Rejected, Set To Apply Again
A young determined lady named Nwosu Happiness whose application to the Mandela Washington Fellowship was Rejected because she
wasn’t in any charity organization, has now learnt her lessons and is ready to apply again.
Sharing the news with friends on LinkedIn she wrote;
Last year, MANDELA WASHINGTON FELLOWSHIP rejected my application. Here’s why..
I applied for a Nigeria International Passport
I created a domicilary account
I took professional portrait pictures
I deleted all the pictures on my social media that I thought might ruin my chances of getting in
I developed a public image here on LinkedIn
The process was looking promising because I have been called upon, interviewed and everything. Just when I thought I had it all, I received an email that shook me.
It was a rejection email. Why was I rejected, I was rejected because I wasn’t in any charity organization, I haven’t volunteered for any group in my country.
So this year, the form is out again and thanks to Chimuanya Dike I have been able to join the Opportunities for Youth and WOMEN IN TECH – Global Movement
Wish me Luck 🍀 and if you’re interested in applying for the fellowship, the link is in the comment section.
