Lady Who Hawked Pepper At Age 10 Becomes The First Black Person To Obtain A PhD In Biomedical Engineering In A Canadian School

A lady with Twitter handle @DrOlubamiji has gone down memory lane as she shared how she hawked pepper on the streets of Ibadan at the age of 10 and now she has become the first black person to obtain a PhD in Biomedical Engineering in a Canadian school!

Dr Olubamiji recalls how she obtained this PhD 5 years ago.

She attended public primary and secondary schools, studied physics at OOU and proceeded to Finland for a Masters’s Degree while she worked part-time as a cleaner.

She later obtained a 4-year scholarship at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada to pursue a PhD in Biomedical Engineering.
