Lady Who Dropped Out Of School 4 Times , Due To Financial Challenge, Celebrates As She Bags BSc Degree, Says Don’t You Dare Quit.Your Story Is Not Over
Nigeriian lady named Eniola Olalekan has shared her career journey and the setback she encountered as she finally bagged BSc degree.
Sharing photos of her graduation on Facebook, she wrote:
“This is my testimony!!!
I graduated secondary school in 2014… full of dreams.
That same year, I wrote JAMB.
Unilorin & Kwarapoly were the plan… but life said “not yet.” I scored 180.
My mum pushed for Yabatech, and I got in.
It felt like the beginning… until everything fell apart.
That same year, my mum lost her business. She was duped.
Just like that, my education paused. I had to drop out.
Life got hard. Really hard,
But I didn’t give up, (2016) I tried again.
This time, 236. I got admission into Ago-Iwoye.
My cousin showed up for me,gave me a place to stay and paid my acceptance fee.
But when it was time for school fees… he had some challenges that couldn’t make him help me further…
No help. No support. Not even from people I believed in.
I had to walk away again.
2018-I picked myself up and started working as a QC officer (NIPEN) in Ikeja.
Still, I refused to let my dreams die.
I wrote JAMB again. 263 this time.
TASUED gave me admission.
Then life happened again.
The week admission letters were sent… my phone got stolen.
I was unreachable for 18 days.
By the time I got back… I had lost the admission.
At that point, I could have given up.
But I didn’t. 2019I started all over again at NOUN.
It wasn’t easy. I deferred a semesters , because I couldn’t pay fees.
Still… I kept going. 2020 came with its own battles.
20•10•20 is a day I’ll never forget,I had an exam and got stranded.
But I showed up for myself anyway.
Fast forward to my final year…
Project phase almost broke me. Fear, delays, everything,It took me almost 2 years.
But the devil lied.
Today, I stand victorious.
After all the setbacks, the tears, the delays…
I finally bagged my BSc degree 💃🏽🎓
This is your sign:
No matter how many times life says (wait) don’t you dare quit.
Your story is not over 🤍
