A young and ambitious Ghanaian lady named Doris Devu is making it in the male-dominated tiling industry after she was unable to continue her education after junior high school. Doris narrated her inspiring story in an interview with YEN.com.gh on a special edition of Faces of Ghana in which the businesswoman made a number of eye-popping revelations.

According to Doris, she dreamt of becoming a lawyer, an accountant or a businesswoman but she lost her parents just when she needed their help to go into high school at the time.

With no one ready to help her at the time and no Free-SHS policy, Doris’ ambitions were cut short but she decided never to give up on life and success.

On one occasion, the young lady who has employed a number of men to work under her and serve the many clients, recounted coming across a tile-maker and getting intrigued by how it was all done. She was told that it was a job meant for men and Doris decided to lay back but after a while, she met another tiler who decided to take her through training for one year, after which she opened her own enterprise and started taking orders.
