Lady Excited As She Flies Her Mom To The UK, Says A Dream Came True

A young lady on Facebook named Ukay’s Inspiration has shared her excitement while adding that dreams came true, as she was able to get her mom a UK visa. She went further to explain the processes of inviting a loved one abroad without paying a penny to an agent. She’s also glad her mom is with her to make unforgettable memories.

Sharing photos of her mum with her grand children, she wrote:

“My Mom is Here in the UK! A Dream Come True

I’m so thrilled to share that my mom has finally arrived in the UK, and having her here is such a blessing!

The best part? We handled the entire visa application process ourselves, no agents involved. If you’re planning to bring your parent(s) over for a visit, trust me, you can do it too! Here’s how we did it:

Gather the Required Documents:
We made sure to have everything needed for her UK Standard Visitor Visa, including:
• An invitation letter from me explaining the purpose of her visit (to spend time with family).
• Proof of my residence and financial support here in the UK.
• Her own documents, such as her passport, bank statements, and evidence of ties to Nigeria (like property ownership or business details).

Apply for the Visa Online:
We applied directly on the UK Government website. It’s easy to follow, and you don’t need to pay an agent to do it for you. The visa fee is clear and everything is explained step by step😊

Flight Planning:
Her visa was valid from 17th December, so I booked her flight to leave Nigeria on 16th December and arrive in the UK on 17th December, perfectly aligning with the visa dates. Timing is so important, so double-check your plans carefully!

Visa Decision and Document Collection:
When her visa decision was ready, she was asked to pick up her travel documents from the Visa Application Centre. There was no email with the decision this time, but everything was in order when she collected her passport💃🏻💃🏻

Now, my mom is here, and we’re already making unforgettable memories together. It’s such a joy to have her around, and I’m so glad we didn’t let the process intimidate us💪🏻
