Lady Celebrates As She Becomes Medical Director In Nelson Mandela Hospital
“As a medical student I used to work at grocery shops promoting various products to make some money to pay for my living expenses at varsity.
I had two student loans and would sometimes go without food when money was tight.
I battled cancer as a teenager when I was supposed to be enjoying my youth. And I was badly injured in a bomb blast in downtown Johannesburg as child, during those dark days of Apartheid when violent incidents were on the rise.
Losing hope and giving up have never been part of my vocabulary. It is not easy but nothing good comes without sacrifice, a heavy dose of faith and many helping hands.
That’s why I am always happy to help others to achieve their dreams in whichever small way I can.
I am proud of the woman I have become and looking forward to the one I am BECOMING”-Dr Nonkululeko Boikhutso
Clinical Services Director Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital.
