Jowizaza’s Billionaire Father Regains Freedom

The Anambra State Police Command has confirmed the release and safe return of Chief J. J. Ezeokafor, father of socialite Jowizaza, and a Rev. Sister who were abd¥cted by armed criminals at Ifite-Awka.

The Anambra businessman was abd¥cted in the early hours of Tuesday, August 4, after leaving his residence for a prayer ground in Awka.

In a statement, the command’s spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said the police were taking necessary steps to establish the circumstances surrounding their release and obtain information that could assist ongoing investigations and identify the perpetrators.

Ikenga said the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, commended the safe return of the victims and directed intensified intelligence-led operations and a manhunt for those responsible.

He added that the ongoing operation involves the Police, Department of State Services (DSS), Military, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Agunechemba Security Operatives and other relevant security agencies.
