In U.K The Government Takes Care Of The Disabled, But Here In Nigeria They Seat By The Streets To Beg-By Elora Akpotosevbe

Each time I see disabled people begging, my heart bleeds. They are incapacitated, yet they have no source of livelihood.

The government has never discussed anything about them. The house of assembly has never mentioned their case, it seems as though they don’t exist.

It’s so disheartening, for crying out loud, they are humans too. In U.K the government takes care of anyone that’s disabled. Any form of deformity, no category, the government will take care of you, get someone to monitor you and feed you on daily basis. And you know the most interesting part? They will place you on a Monthly Salary till day you die.

If you travel to the u.k and you suddenly got involved in an accident, they will make you a citizen and take care of you for the rest of your life.

I pray for change so that the disabled people can have a voice someday.
