
“I’m Two Time World Record Holder, Someone Punch Me”- Hilder Baci Says As She Receives Her Plaque From Guinness World Records For Cooking The Largest Quantity Of Jollof Rice
Hilda Effiong Bassey , popularly known as Hilda Baci, is a Nigerian chef, restaurateur, actor, and a two-time Guinness World Record winner.
She previously held the Guinness World Record for marathon cooking (cook-athon) with 93 hours 11 minutes in May 2023.
Later that year, Irish chef Alan Fisher surpassed the record with 119 hours, 57 minutes.
In September 2025, Guinness World Records confirmed her feat for cooking the largest quantity of Jollof rice at once, breaking another world record in conjunction with Gino.
And just recently, Hilda received her plague from Guinness world record confirming her feat for cooking the largest quantity of Jollof rice. Sharing her plaques in a video on Instagram, Hilda wrote:
“Two Record, two plaques one story of faith, fire and history.
Twice God showed up for me, twice we made history for Nigeria.
And not just any record, two of the biggest culinary record ever set.
Together with Gino, we created something bigger than ourselves a story that reached 5 billion and reminded the world what’s possible when passion meets purpose.
I’m two time world record holder, someone punch me”.
