“I Won’t Stop My Husband From Marrying Another Woman”- Ronke Oshodi Opens Up On Polygamy

Ronke Oshodi Oke, a veteran Nollywood actress, discussed her views on polygamy.
She stated she would not oppose her husband taking another wife if he can financially support both families.
The comments were made during an interview with Behind The Fame TV.

Veteran Nollywood actress Ronke Oshodi Oke has shared her perspective on polygamy, revealing that she would not oppose her husband marrying another woman as long as he is financially capable of catering to both families.

The actress made the disclosure during an interview with Behind The Fame TV, where she spoke about marriage, relationships and the responsibilities of men.

Ronke explained that she would be willing to accept her husband taking another wife if he chose to do so. However, she made it clear that she would not be comfortable living in the same house with the second wife.

According to the actress, the better arrangement would be for her husband to secure a separate home for the other woman. She maintained that bringing another wife into the house she already shares with her husband would not be acceptable to her.

Her comments have sparked conversations about polygamy, financial responsibility and the boundaries that should exist between wives in a polygamous marriage.

Her words…

“A man has to respect his wife because if he wants to marry a second wife, he should bring her home and introduce her to the first wife properly. A wise woman should know that there is no big deal if a man marries a second wife, but the only thing is that I can’t stay in the same house together with the second wife.

“If my husband can take care of the second wife and he has the financial capacity, I see no reason he can’t marry a second wife. If marrying a second wife will not stop him from giving me money, he should go ahead and do it. Some men are married to one wife, but they have a lot of girlfriends.

“I can allow my husband to marry a second wife, and he’s free to have sex with other girls. I don’t trust men at all, including my son, even though he’s only 13 years old now.”
