I Was Sending My Ex-Wife N200k Out Of The N500k I Earned While She Lived Abroad For 6 Years And She Didn’t Even Give Me A Kiss When I Picked Her Up At The Airport — Roby Ekpo Laments As He Reflects On His 11-Year Marriage

Roby Ekpo spoke on his 11-year marriage to media personality Mayowa on Honest Bunch Podcast, describing sacrifice, distance and heartbreak. He said during six years she lived abroad he still supported her emotionally and financially despite strain.

“If I had a child out of wedlock, I would have been justified to say Mayowa could do whatever she wanted.”

“10 years of my life, What did I do but just love? Mayowa travelled six years and for the small money I was earning, I was sending money to Mayowa every time. I have receipts here.”

“I was sending money abroad. I was sending flowers. I have friends in the U.S. and I would beg them to buy flowers and deliver to her.”

“How can you call your wife for three, four days and she will not call back? She will not pick. Anytime I call her,it was always when she is inside the car.”

He said communication became strained and reunion in Nigeria was distant.

“I went with two cars to the airport with my friends but I couldn’t get a clip of me hugging my wife. We got home and she did not kiss me. She did not hug me. I slept in the living room for two days.”

“I would do a gig of 500K. I would send 200K. The receipts are here, Last year was the first time I got a car. I bought a Lexus RS350 with my hard-earned money when I stopped sending money abroad.”

“She got a house and got a male flatmate… I was not comfortable with it but I let it slide only for me to find out that the person she claimed was a flatmate was sleeping with her.”

Ekpo said the experience left him deeply hurt, especially after years of financial commitment and emotional investment that he believed were not reciprocated in the relationship. He added that he had receipts and evidence in support.
