I Earn N503,000 As My Monthly Salary – Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has revealed that he earns a monthly salary of N503,000, noting that Permanent Secretaries in the state now earn more than him.

Speaking at a recent event in Asaba, Oborevwori said a Permanent Secretary earns N900,000 monthly, while the Head of Service receives N1 million.

“You will also recall that we were one of the first states that implemented the minimum wage. Today, a Permanent Secretary’s salary is more than the governor’s. Your salary is N900,000; my salary is N503,000. Head of Service is N1 million,” he said.

Delta is among the states receiving significant allocations from the Federation Account, including the 13 per cent derivation for oil-producing states. From January to July 2026, about N16 trillion was shared among the federal, state and local governments.
