‘I Bathe My Baby 3-4 Times A Week, I Don’t Bathe Her Everyday, It’s Not Necessary’ -Toke Makinwa

Popular Nigerian fashion icon, Toke Makinwa, in a new video, raises eyebrows as she reveals why she does not necessarily bathe her daughter everyday.

In the clip spotted on her official Snapchat story, Toke Makinwa advises new mothers and expectant mothers to stop bathing their babies everyday, stressing that it causes skin problems.

Recommending fewer births for babies, Toke Makinwa, who recently did her daughter Yaya’s baby dedication, uttered that babies in their first 3months are not dirty, and also inside the womb are not dirty.

Shedding more light in the clip, Toke Makinwa stressed that 0-3 months old babies are not sweaty, they are not on the floor, and parent don’t take them out.

The media personality said that their skin is fragile and all new parents need to do is to just wipe them out daily with water and let their skin breathe.

Toke Makinwa said that when she is yet to give birth, she always complained to her sister for not bathing her niece every day, only for her niece to come out with very beautiful skin.

Speaking further, Toke Makinwa disclosed that when she gave birth to her daughter, Yaya, she only bathed her once a week and did the wiping every day.

She added that when her daughter was in her second month, she bathed her twice a week and did the wiping everyday.

Fashion icon Toke Makinwa revealed that when her daughter is now in the stage of 3 months old, she now bathes for her 3-4times a week, and everyday wiping still goes on.

Toke said that when her daughter is 4-6months old, her skin would have been strong and by then she can start bathing her everyday.
