He Got His First Masters Degree Before His 21st Birthday- Man Celebrates As He Bags His 2nd Masters Degree At Age 24

A man named Folasubomi Khaleed Salami has shared an interesting story about his life as he bags 2nd master’s degree. Coincidentally today is his 24th birthday.

Khaleed narrated how he was a kleptomania at the age of seven and he was tagged a failure, but he worked hard to avoid such title. He bagged his first master’s degree before he turned 21. And now he has just
completed the second , Master degree on Project Management (Concentration in Analytics), from Northeastern University—Toronto.

Sharing a lengthy post on LinkedIn, he wrote:

Turning 24 Today!!!

What a journey it has been. I am grateful to God, my family, and friends who have supported me in all life endeavors. Your impact will never be forgotten. It hasn’t been the smoothest of journeys, but it has come with life lessons that I will forever live with.

From the young age of seven, I had what I will describe as undiagnosed kleptomania, which had led to the tag “most likely to fail”. A tag, that I had made sure with the help of my family members, to run from. I worked so hard to beat it and did what society deemed the right thing.

I graduated high school at the age of 15 after which I had to move to a new country alone. I had to grow up, learn, unlearn, relearn, and by the grace of God, got my first master’s degree a couple of days to become 21 years old. Let me take this opportunity to announce that I completed the second, a Master of Project Management (Concentration in Analytics), from Northeastern University—Toronto. Everyone at Toronto Campus and University made my time there unforgettable. Despite all these, I was feeling a lack of fulfillment.

Just about a month ago, life hit me with the understanding that I had done all this without the feeling of fulfillment. I have, in the past month, had to rediscover my drive for success. I have added activities like journaling, constant exercise, and meditation amongst others. I am still on this wellness journey but today I can celebrate myself for the effort put in so far.

I have felt better in the past 30 days than I have in so many years. I may not be arriving 24 as Evan Spiegel did but I am with so many good landmarks to be grateful for.

The story doesn’t end here. Another chapter only begins today. One that I hope to write with a more focused purpose. This kid from a small community in West Africa is just getting started.

Happy Birthday to Me!!!!

Congratulations to him.
