Rehan Stanton who was abandoned by his mother when he was eight has had his life transformed as he now heads to Harvard Law School.
According to the Washington Post, Rehan towed trash and cleaned dumpsters for years to make ends meet and also to fund his education.
His mother left, he and his brother were raised by their father who had to work three jobs.
The 24-year-old said: “I was probably too young to notice some of the things that happened, but I know it was bad.”
Rehan and his brother Reggie worked for Bates Trucking & Trash Removal in Bladensburg, Md, to support their education, but Reggie had to drop out so they could focus on Rehan’s education.
After spending his mornings hauling trash and cleaning dumpsters, Rehan would head to class at the University of Maryland.
Rehan was also accepted to the law schools at Columbia University, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Southern California and Pepperdine Law.
He was wait-listed at Georgetown University, New York University, Berkeley, and UCLA.
