Nigerian man named Toyyib Adewale Adelodun based in the UK reminisces as he celebrates father’s day. Toyyib recounted how
he used to sleep on a floor mat beside his Dad in Mushin. Decades later, the story changed, he now walks beside his dad through central London, pointing at Landmark projects he has worked on.

Toyyib agrees that his dad deserves it because he gave up his dreams so his could live. He went further to celebrate his dad on father’s day, encouraging others to do the same.

Sharing on x, he wrote:

“I used to sleep on a floor mat beside my Dad in Mushin.

Decades later, I walked with through central London, pointing at Landmark projects I worked on.

I can’t even imagine how he felt at that point. His silent sacrifices turned into my loud milestones.

A man who gave up his dreams so mine could live.

It’s was a long shot from where we started to where we are now.

You earned every good that comes your way, Dad.

You are one of a kind.
