“The Journey From a Plantain Chips Hawker to a Ph.D Holder…

This is an untold story of my life. A history known to a little few.

Truly, the world doesn’t celebrate potentials, it celebrates proofs.

This morning I woke up with a heavy heart. It appeared sleep went on vacation from my eyes. I had some nostalgic feelings.

I scrolled through my gallery to keep myself busy and the first picture popped up, I bursted into laughter. An uncontrollable one.

Yes, it calls for laughter.

Little did I notice some tears coming after the laughter.

On my convocation day?

Why tears?

Believe me, those hot tears aren’t ordinary tears.

They reminded me of where Baaba picked me from.

They reminded me of the struggles.

The journey hasn’t been that smooth as many think.

Thank God there’s a second picture to augment the story.

Don’t stop at the first picture. The second is possible.

I know a God, who can do it.

I know a God who raises the poor from the dunghill and sets him amongst kings.

His name is Jehovah!

If you say YES, God won’t say NO.

Today is the day. Let’s go get the hood.
