EndSARS: Engage Nigerian Youths To Prevent Another Protest, UN Tells FG

Following the recent #EndSARS protests that led to the destruction of properties and several deaths across the country, the federal government has been urged to engage the Nigerian youths.
In a report by Channels TV, the United Nations called on the Nigerian government to ensure that they engage the young people in order to foil another protest in the country.
This was made known by Amina Mohammed, the UN deputy secretary-general, on Monday, November 9, during a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
According to the former minister of environment, Nigeria needs an engaged youth and an engaged government, adding that the UN has been tasked to make sure that happens.
She said:
“The UN’s response to this is that we must make sure that what happened in this protest, we are able to address those gaps, issues and to begin the reforms needed to address many of these outstanding issues.”
