EFCC Arrests Suspended Women Leader Of City Boys Movement Over Alleged Financial Cr+mes

The Economic and Financial cr+mes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, the South-West zonal coordinator of the women wing of the City Boy Movement, over an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence.

EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, spokesperson, confirmed to TheCable on Saturday that Tejuosho was arrested on September 8.

“She is in our custody,” Oyewale said.

The arrest comes months after the anti-graft agency declared the 41-year-old wanted over an ongoing investigation into alleged fra¥d.

In April, the EFCC said Tejuosho, a Lagos indigene, was wanted forobtaining money by false pretence. The commission had also released her last known address as House A26, Aso Grove Estate, Maitama Extension, Abuja, and appealed to anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact its offices or the nearest security agency.

Tejuosho had previously been investigated over allegations linked to an appointment and contract scam. In June 2025, she was interrogated following complaints that she collected money from individuals while claiming she could secure federal government appointments and lucrative contracts for them.

The investigation centred on allegations that she used fake appointment letters and forged documents to convince victims that she could facilitate government appointments and contracts.

Tejuosho, identified as the founder of Haleems Integrated Services Limited, was subsequently granted administrative bail while investigations continued.

Following her declaration as wanted in April, the City Boy Movement suspended her as its South-West zonal coordinator of the women wing, pending the outcome of the investigation.
