Donald Duke’s Daughter, Tony Rapu’s Son Wed in Greece

Donna Duke, the daughter of former governor of Cross River state Donald Duke, has tied the knot with Tobechukwu Rapu, the son of cleric Tony Rapu.

The couple held their traditional wedding in Calabar in January, followed by a white wedding ceremony on Saturday.

The traditional ceremony was attended by family and friends, with the couple wearing traditional attire.

During the event, Rapu remarked, “We have come a long distance. We have found the woman we want. And we want to take her with us”.

Tobechukwu had proposed to Donna in March 2025 in front of friends and family.

The white wedding took place at an open space in Athenian Riviera, Greece. Footage captured Donna walking down the aisle with her father, who later joined her for a dance at the reception.

At the reception, the couple was seen cutting a large cake.

Guests and family members have shared well-wishes for the couple on social media.

Donna is an artist currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Art and Cultural Enterprise at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London.

Her work is influenced by Mexican painter Frida Kahlo and explores themes of transition and new experiences, often using gold and copper leaf in her pieces.

Tobechukwu, on the other hand, is an investment strategist and research analyst who has previously worked with the Bank of Industry (BOI) and PwC.
