Don Jazzy Considers Searching For A Wife Outside Nigeria
Michael Collins Ajereh, the music executive popularly known as Don Jazzy, says he may take his search for a life partner beyond Nigeria, all the way to East Africa.
The 43-year-old Mavin Records founder spoke during a light-hearted Instagram exchange with fans, after one follower described him as an “African treasure” who no longer belongs to Nigerians alone.
“Don Jazzy at this point an African treasure. Yes, he belongs to all of us now, not just you Nigerians,” the fan wrote.
Responding, the producer agreed that he often feels a connection to several African countries, including Ghana, South Africa, and Uganda, despite never having visited the latter.
Then, in a joking tone, he turned his attention to love.
“Sometimes, I feel like I’m Ghanaian, sometimes South African. Sometimes I feel like I’m Ugandan, even though I haven’t been to Uganda, and I hear it’s hot there,” he said.
“I heard that the babes there are nice. If you are from Uganda and you are a babe, do you girls like me there? Maybe I should come to Uganda since I did not find a wife in Nigeria. Maybe I should go and find a wife in Uganda or Tanzania.”
In 2021, Don Jazzy revealed that he was previously married to Michelle Jackson. The pair tied the knot when he was just 20 years old, but the union lasted only two years.
He has since publicly taken responsibility for the breakup, admitting that his all-consuming obsession with music ruined the relationship.
In 2024, the music executive opened up about why he has yet to remarry, explaining that he is on a journey of self-development.
