Davido Sells Out Yola Concert As Governor Fintiri Welcomes Afrobeats Star

Adamawa Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, warmly received global Afrobeats star Davido at the Government House, Yola, as part of the artist’s 5ive Alive Tour.

Governor Fintiri expressed delight that Davido included Adamawa as one of the major stops on his five-state tour, describing the visit as a reflection of the state’s growing prominence and improved security.

“It was a pleasure to welcome the global star, Davido, to the Government House, Yola. We are particularly glad he chose Adamawa as a key stop on his five-state tour. His presence here underscores our progress and is a testament to our administration’s efforts toward enhancing security and advancing our urban renewal drive. We are honoured by his visit,” Governor Fintiri stated.

Later in the evening, Davido thrilled a sold-out crowd at the 25,000-capacity Mahmud Ribadu Square, marking one of the tour’s most electrifying performances.

The concert featured appearances by special guest Sultana Farida Auduson Ibrahim, a prominent local influencer and former Big Brother Naija housemate, who joined fans in celebrating the Afrobeats superstar.

The Yola concert underscored Adamawa’s cultural vibrancy and the region’s growing appetite for world-class entertainment events.
