Kyeremateng Oppong Daniel, a level 300 student of the Kwame Nkrumah University Of Science and Technology (KNUST) has made a massive donation to some communities in Ashanti Region in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Kyeremeh Oppong Daniel, who is affectionately called KOD, is a chemistry student of the prestigious institution. He earmarked some communities in the Kwabre District for his donation namely: Asenua, Buokrom Estate, Ahwia and Asorenkwanta who were beneficiaries of the donations.
The young chemist made several donations including alcohol-based hand sanitizers, protective hand gloves, nose masks and veronica buckets. Kyeremateng Oppong appears to be highly skilled as he indicated the alcohol-based sanitizers were manufactured by him with the assistance of some other colleagues from KNUST.
Upon interrogation, the young man explained his reason for the whole act. According to him, it was “an act of citizenship and active participation in the sensitization and fight against this deadly pandemic”.
He further appealed to all corporate bodies or institutions to come on board and support his campaign against COVID-19 and to create awareness on the pandemic. Kyeremeh mentioned that he and his team plan to embark on more community visits for similar acts of benevolence.
