Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie Supports Public School By Providing Chairs, For Students Who Studied By Seating On A Bare Floor

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is a highly acclaimed Nigerian writer known for her novels, short stories, and essays that explore themes of identity, race, gender.

She recently supported public schools
to provide chairs, school sandals, and school bags. In the photos she shared on x, some students were seen seating on a bare floor and in another photo the chairs provided was displayed.

Sharing on x, she wrote :

“As part of giving back to the society, I was honored to provide chairs, school sandals, and school bags to support a public school.

It may seem small, but access to basic learning needs makes a real difference in the lives of our children.

Thank you to the school for allowing me to contribute in this small but meaningful way.

I respectfully acknowledge the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, for the opportunity and support to serve the community beyond duty.”
