There seems to be no end to the list of Nigerians who are making the nation proud in the diaspora. Victoria Ibiwoye, the director of OneAfricanChild Foundation for Creative Learning, has been given a special award in the UK. According to the post on her LinkedIn page, she bagged the Princess Diana Legacy Award alongside 19 other young people changing the world in their own ways.
In her appreciation post, she dedicated the award to other young leaders at the foundation who also deserve the honour. Ibiwoye said she is honoured to receive the award, knowing that are many who deserve it.
She thanked them for working with her to create a valuable team that ensures the education right of every child.
“I feel so honoured to receive the Princess Diana Legacy Award in London alongside 19 other incredible young game changers from across the world! Princess Diana was an icon who genuinely cared about young people. She chose to be fearless and as a result she became timeless,” she said. The Diana Award is set up in the memory of Diana, Princess of Wales, and is meant to reflect her belief in young people as world changers. Apart from honouring young people who have contributed to their community, the award is meant to instill in them the sense to build a capacity for progress.
