Brain Surgery In 2015 Affected my Private Part – Julius Agwu

Nigerian comedian and actor Julius Agwu has opened up about a personal complication which followed the brain surgery he had in the United States.

Agwu underwent brain surgery in 2015 after doctors reportedly discovered three tumours in his brain. One of the tumours was said to be about the size of a golf ball.

Agwu disclosed that he experienced a loss of sexual function after the procedure, revealing the previously little-discussed impact during a recent episode of the Beer Parlour Talk Show uploaded on Saturday.

The comedian was discussing the effects of his health battle on his body, career and personal life when the host asked if the brain condition or surgery had affected other aspects of his health, including his sexual function.

Agwu responded, “After I do am, prick no dey work again now. He no dey work.”

Other participants on the programme, including Mr Patrick, subsequently discussed the nerve involved in the surgery and its connection to the brain as they sought to explain the effect Agwu described.

Agwu also reflected on his influence on Nigeria’s comedy industry, particularly his role in popularising the combination of music and comedy.

“Music comedy na me form am o, that is to tell you how my brain dey work,” he said.
