“As A Blind Person, Even Amidst All The Excitement And Fun, I Just Couldn’t Resist The Sadness Of Not Being Able To Watch My Children Play”-Nigerian Man Shares What Made Him Sad As He Takes Wife Out With Kids To Have Fun For Canada’s Day

Nigerian family named the Waziri’s lifestyle popular for creating family contents shares how he felt after taking his wife and kids out to have fun for Canada’s day.

In his words:

“Something happened when My wife, the kids, and I went out to have fun for Canada Day yesterday🥹.

As a blind person, even amidst all the excitement and fun, I just couldn’t resist the sadness of not being able to watch my children play.

Most of the time I was seated all by myself so my family will have a good time.
Even when my wife told me she was jumping and playing with them in the trampoline—and I literally heard her laughter every time she came back to meet me where I was sitting—and anytime she tried to describe how they were playing, how excited they were, and the games they were enjoying, it was a mix of feelings for me.

Still, I never showed my sad side. At that moment, all I wanted was to hear my wife and kids laugh, even though I couldn’t see. Eventually, that joy overshadowed the sadness.

I just sat where they left me, smiling. I told myself right then and there: You may not be able to see your family, but you can hear them being happy, and that is all that matters.
But through all of this, I still have hope and faith that I will see again someday. So please, my people, just one more time: say a prayer for me to see my family someday.
