Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno, Opens Up, Says He Once Made Up To ₦10 Million In A Month From An Akara And Bread Business

Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno has revealed that he once made up to ₦10 million in a month from an akara and bread business.

The governor said he sold “Akara Burger” by placing akara inside bread for customers, a claim that has sparked mixed reactions online.

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has revealed that he once made not less than ₦10 million in a month from selling akara and bread.

The governor made the disclosure while recounting his business journey and how he started out before venturing into other areas of his career.

According to Eno, he combined akara and bread to create what he called “Akara Burger”, which customers could buy as a quick meal.

“I started selling Akara and bread. Back then, I was doing Akara Burger — we opened the bread and put Akara inside for you. I made not less than ₦10 million in a month.”

The revelation has since generated reactions online, with some Nigerians questioning how such earnings were possible from an akara business and others asking why he stopped if it was so profitable.
